Do peptides really help repair injuries?

I’m not so sure. I have rotator cuff tears affecting the right shoulder and I have issues with the left also. The pain is bad especially at night. Poor form years ago plus being older makes me more prone to injury. I use anti-inflammatory drugs, ice etc, but it still affects me. So I decided to take the plunge and try BPC-157, a 15 amino acid peptide that helps repair these things. It’s injected daily subcutaneously. Dose is vague, no instructions given with the product. I tried it for a month or so (expensive!) but little change. So, like many supplements that gym-goers use there is no evidence from human studies that these do anything. Plus, they are made in unlicensed labs somewhere with no quality control. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has used this and got good results.
